VIDEO PROFESSOR TUTORIALS EARN AURORA AWARD HONORS FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE YEAR
"Learn How to Buy and Sell on eBay" tutorial wins Platinum Best in Show Award

(Lakewood, CO) — For the third consecutive year, Video Professor — the leader in comprehensive self-paced computer software tutorials - has been named an Aurora Awards winner, an honor that recognizes excellence in film and video production.

For its work on the Video Professor's "Learn How to Buy and Sell on eBay®" tutorial, the company's in-house production team won the Platinum Best of Show Award in the Technology / Computer Training category. In addition, lessons from the "Learn Wireless Networking," "Learn the Internet with the AOL Service" and "Learn How to Buy and Sell on eBay" tutorials earned Gold Awards in the same category. Last year they won the Best Of Show award for their Internet lesson.

"It is a tremendous honor for Video Professor's production team to be recognized by the Aurora Awards committee again this year," said Chip Hopkins, Video Professor's Director of Production. "Our team works extremely hard to produce the best possible computer learning products on the market today and we are extremely proud of this honor."

Hopkins, who has been with Video Professor since it started nearly 20 years ago, leads the production team made up of numerous multimedia developers, graphic artists, 3D animators, editors and writers. Additionally, Hopkins and his team also produce the commercials and infomercials seen by millions of Americans on television every day.

A national competition designed to recognize excellence in the film, video and multimedia industries, the Aurora Awards target programs, CD ROMs and commercials that would not normally have the opportunity to compete on a national level. With entries coming from every state in the United States and internationally from countries such as Canada, Hong Kong, Denmark and Mexico, the awards focus on non-national commercials, regional or special interest entertainment and corporate sponsored film and video.

The Aurora Awards recognize individuals in the film and video industries who have achieved that same ability to captivate their audiences with the displays produced from their own creative forces. Competitors come from private and corporate production groups, advertising agencies and television stations throughout the country.

"Chip and his team have been producing the industry's best tutorials for over 20 years and I am extremely proud of their accomplishments," said John W. Scherer, CEO and Founder of Video Professor. "By combining the latest technology with the most in-depth research on a subject, the production team creates learning lessons that are second to none. These Platinum and Gold awards are a testament to how effectively our lessons teach computing and that our presentation of graphics and animations set the standard for the industry."

Through Video Professor's proven "What-You-See-Is-What-You-Do" method of teaching, users learn everything from the basics of computing to advanced work with programs like Photoshop, Outlook, MS Office, Quicken, PowerPoint and even how to design and create websites with FrontPage and HTML. They just added lessons on learning eBay, Wireless Networking, Digital Photography and are about to release lessons on Online Travel and Online Investing.

All Video Professor lessons are available on standard CD-ROM, as well as via the company's VP Online learning library, where users with high-speed Internet can stream the lessons directly to their computer.
