VIDEO PROFESSOR COMPUTER LITERACY DAY IN MODESTO CA

Monday, August 29, 2005 was a special day for High School Students in
Modesto, CA as John W. Scherer “The Video Professor” donated $270,000 in VP
Online Computing Tutorials to Modesto Schools.

All High School Students in the Modesto area now have free access to VP
Online lessons either at school, or from home if they have high-speed
Internet access. It’s estimated some 6-thousand Students will take advantage
of the offer, good for the complete 2005-2006 school year.

The donation came about after a Modesto Woman, Corlene Goff, was the grand
prizewinner in the VIDEO PROFESSOR July 4th Sweepstakes. And it was a grand
prize indeed, a 2006 Chrysler 300C. And yes, it has a Hemi!

VIDEO PROFESSOR bought the car from local Chrysler Dealer John Gardener of
Central Valley Chrysler-Jeep. Talking with Gardener, he told us a lot about
the school district and the excellent work being done in computer education.

The VIDEO PROFESSOR team came up with the idea of donating tutorial lessons
to the schools as part of the company’s on-going computer literacy efforts
around the country. School district representatives were especially
enthusiastic about VP Online, which streams VIDEO PROFESSOR’S award-winning
tutorials directly to the computers.

And so a project was born. A team from VIDEO PROFESSOR worked directly with
Stan Trevina who heads up the IT programs for the Modesto Schools.

And now all High School Students in Modesto have access to VIDEO PROFESSOR
tutorials, streamed directly to their computers either at school or at home.

John and the entire VIDEO PROFESSOR team were honored with several official
proclamations declaring August 29 as VIDEO PROFESSOR COMPUTER LITERACY DAY in Modesto!

Congressman Dennis Cardoza along with the Stanislaus Board of Supervisors
also officially recognized this special day with special proclamations.

Congressman Cardoza recognized “the launching of a program that believes
business, communities and organizations can partner together in computer
education.”

And that’s what this special day was all about. Computer Education. And the
students in Modesto now have an additional resource to improve on existing,
or learn new computing skills. Skills that will be critical to their success
as they head off to college and later in their careers.

And it all started when a very nice lady in Modesto CA decided to try VIDEO
PROFESSOR to improve her own business computing skills. Corlene Goff now has
a new Chrysler 300C and the students in Modesto have new learning
opportunities.

Truly, a win-win story!

Thanks Corlene. And thank you Modesto. A wonderful city full of wonderful
people!
