VIDEO PROFESSOR ANNOUNCES 2006 1ST QUARTER COMPUTER LITERACY DONATIONS
(Lakewood, CO) — Video Professor, the world leader in computing self-tutorials also believes in helping others where and when it can.

“It’s important as a company that we give back,” says John W. Scherer, CEO and founder of Video Professor. “We help as many groups as possible, especially those that include computer literacy projects as part of their services.”

Non-profit groups and agencies receiving free learning tutorials for the first quarter of 2006 are:

Walter Reed Army Medical Center-Washington DC. Soldiers undergoing treatment at WRAMC have free and unlimited access to the complete Video Professor Online learning library. This is part of an on-going program by Video Professor and Video Professor employees supporting our military forces serving overseas. Video Professor has also donated some 40 Level 1 libraries to wounded soldiers looking to learn new computing skills. These libraries have been supplied to the soldiers free of charge in appreciation for their service to America.

South Piedmont Community College-Monroe NC. Video Professor donated a complete CD learning library to assist the school’s efforts in training textile workers who have lost jobs to outsourcing of plants overseas. Because of the area economy, this was a resource the school could not otherwise afford.

Family Time Training-Littleton CO. Video Professor donated PhotoShop and PowerPoint tutorials to assist staff in producing advanced audio-visual training presentations for clients.

Dr. Mark Goodman, PhD-Indianapolis IN. Dr. Goodman is assisting patients who were displaced due to Hurricane Katrina and who have relocated to his city. Dr. Goodman not only is providing medical care, but also helping these patients with computer training so they can learn important job skills.

The Animal Medical Centers of New York and Los Angeles. Video Professor donated two complete learning libraries for silent auction fundraisers conducted by this very worthy organization.

Trips for Kids-Denver CO. Video Professor donated a complete learning library for this group’s annual fund raising auction. Trips for Kids provides opportunities for kids to learn about, and enjoy the experience of mountain biking.

Family Support Center-Andrews Air Force Base MD. Video Professor has donated computer software tutorials as a learning resource for family members of military serving overseas. Family members looking to learn new, or improve upon existing computer skills check these lessons out library-style.

Federation Education and Guidance Services-Long Island NY. Video Professor donated 300 copies of its popular “Getting Started with your PC” lessons to this group, which provides refurbished computers to its clients, to assist them in learning computing skills necessary for job opportunities.

Diamondhead Club House-Honolulu HI. Video Professor donated computer lessons to this group that offers rehabilitative services to adults with mental disabilities. Because of their special needs, Video Professor’s proven “What-You-See-Is-What-You-Do” method of learning has been especially helpful in providing users the opportunity to learn at their own pace and schedule.

“One of the best parts of my day is hearing back from these folks, telling me that our lessons are making a difference in people’s lives,” says Scherer. “If every company would contribute what it’s best at, we could solve so many of the challenges facing our nation. These organization deserve all of our support.”

Video Professor’s corporate philanthropic activities are complimented by those of the company’s employee club, Seasons. The club supports several local charities including the Salvation Army Giving Tree and the JeffCo Action Center.
